Tonight is Math Night!!!\u00a0 Come and join us from 5-6 p.m. in the gym and find out how you can make math fun in your home!<\/p>\n

Tomorrow there is NO SCHOOL!\u00a0 But be sure to vote!<\/p>\n

Thursday is the first day of Parent-Teacher conferences.\u00a0 Those who are scheduled, please be prompt.\u00a0 I’m excited to discuss your child’s progress.<\/p>\n

Wednesday is our field trip to Indian Springs Metro Park.\u00a0 Be sure that your child dresses warm for outdoor activities and has comfortable shoes for hiking.\u00a0 \u00a0Be sure that they bring a bag lunch (but not so much food like on our last field trip).<\/p>\n

The School Canned Food Drive is in full swing.\u00a0 Please donate non-perishable items for those in need.\u00a0 The drive will continue through November 13th.<\/p>\n

Homework<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spelling<\/strong>– Write your words 3 times each in your spiral.<\/p>\n

Math<\/strong>– Succeed pgs. 43-44 #1-3<\/p>\n

Read at least 20 minutes each day and make 2 log entries.<\/p>\n

This Week\u2019s Objectives<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Literacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will work at understanding domain-specific vocabulary, identifying key details in text and analyzing a personal letter and identifying its parts.<\/p>\n

Writing<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 The students will work on taking notes and paraphrasing them in their own words and then writing a comparison lead.<\/p>\n

Science<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will study the 4 Earth systems and how they interact.<\/p>\n

Social Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 The students will be studying the 5 themes of geography and then reviewing the American native Indians, their locations and comparing and contrasting them.<\/p>\n

Math<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will work on adding and subtracting decimals and then multiplying and dividing.<\/p>\n
