This week is Spirit Week at Oakman! Join the fun by dressing up each day!<\/p>\n

Tuesday- Wear Pink to support cancer (Please send in a $1.00 donation to support the cause)<\/p>\n

Wednesday- Wear a Halloween costume (no masks or weapons) Trunk or Treat and other Halloween fun<\/p>\n

Thursday- Pajama day<\/p>\n

Friday- Wear Oakman colored shirts and hats \u00bd day<\/p>\n

If you would like to send in Halloween treats for Wednesday, please do\u2026but no cupcakes!<\/p>\n

I will be back tomorrow afternoon.<\/p>\n

Homework<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spelling<\/strong>– Write your words 3 times each in your spiral.<\/p>\n

Read 20 minutes and write in your log.<\/p>\n

This Week\u2019s Objectives<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Literacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will work with informational text and integrate information from different texts. We will also be reviewing finding the main idea.<\/p>\n

Writing<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 The students will work on taking notes and paraphrasing them in their own words and then writing a comparison lead.<\/p>\n

Science<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will review the states of matter, and chemical and physical changes. Then we will test on this Thursday or Friday.<\/p>\n

Social Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 The students will primary and secondary sources and will be taking a test on these skills later in the week. We will also be looking at timelines.<\/p>\n

Math<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will work on adding and subtracting decimals and then multiplying and dividing.<\/p>\n
