Book orders are due this Wednesday.\u00a0 Also, if you are still interested in purchasing Oakman t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies or jackets, please try to send in the orders this week.<\/p>\n
NWEA testing will continue on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, this will be our last test, science.<\/p>\n
Please be sure that you have an area in your house that your child can complete homework. It could be a table or desk (or even the kitchen table when not in use for eating). This way the work will be done neatly. Also, make sure that there are pencils and paper to use for these assignments. No homework should be done in pen!<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Homework<\/strong><\/p>\n Spelling<\/strong>– Write your words 3 times each in your spiral.<\/p>\n Read 20 minutes and write in your log.<\/p>\n This Week\u2019s Objectives<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Literacy<\/strong><\/p>\n -The students will continue identifying reading strategies, explaining inferences found in text and identifying the main ideas and key details in a text piece as well as summarizing it.<\/p>\n Writing<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2013 The students will begin to work on an opinion piece by constructing a stand statement, gathering information\u00a0 from credible sources and planning the paper using a graphic organizer.<\/p>\n Science<\/strong><\/p>\n -The students will be continue their study on the stages of matter and particles.<\/p>\n Social Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2013 The students will be focusing on the Bill of Rights and the first ten amendments.
