I hope that everyone is doing well and staying safe! I know that there is a lot of confusion out there about what is counting, what isn’t counting, what is going to happen next, and the list goes on and on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to say that I am committed to continuing to provide enriching assignments that will further your learning and bring a sense of stability and normalcy during these difficult times. The work that I am assigning is work that I would be assigning (just in a non-PBL way) if we were still seeing each other face-to-face. Remember, it is about the LEARNING not the points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That said, THANK YOU for all the support parents are providing during this time and to ALL of students completing and submitting work on time. Last wee we saw a 95% completion rate \ud83d\ude42 Keep up the fantastic work!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8th Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. There are 3 journals<\/strong> for you to complete. There is a Google Doc for these.<\/li>
  2. Read the 3 stories<\/strong> \u201cAbuela Invents the Zero\u201c (from last week), “Us and Them” and “Out of Bounds”. All are in Google Classroom.<\/li>
  3. Answer the 3 CER (TED) questions for the three stories. There is a Google Doc for this.<\/li>
  4. PSAT Friday<\/strong> – – we will hold off on this for a week as I gather more sources. I know that all standardized testing seems to be on hold, but the learning and practice is still a valuable thing.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
