Small group read two speeches (Patrick Henry and Samuel Adams) \u2013 box and summarize <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.After you box and summarize, highlight and label the different arguments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0 a.\u00a0 Blue \u2013 pathos<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0 b.\u00a0 Red \u2013 ethos<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0 c.\u00a0 Green \u2013 logos<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students did an EXCELLENT job working on these and translating them.  It took a little longer than expected, but the critical thinking and collaboration was worth the time spent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HOMEWORK:\u00a0 IXLs C.1 and L.1 (95% &#8211; by Friday)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6th Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JOURNAL: Conflict &#8211; &#8211; Write 3 scenarios \u2013 one that has a person v. person conflict, one with a person v. self conflict, and one with a person v. nature conflict. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.Group challenge &#8211; specifically, students worked with their team to make sure that the climax of their story made sense and was a good mid-way point between their conflict and their resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.  I handed back the quiz that students took on Monday.
