This is the last day of testing!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8th Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JOURNAL:\u00a0 Logos &#8211; &#8211; Using the strategy of LOGOS, convince your parents you should be allowed to start driver\u2019s ed as an 8<sup>th<\/sup> grader (pretend this is possible).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today students worked with their groups the &#8220;finalize&#8221; the rough drafts of their Pathos and Logos ad ideas and they then started working on their Ethos idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HOMEWORK:  Summer IXLs are due Friday.  I called students who were missing any IXLs up to my desk to remind them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6th Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3rd hour ONLY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JOURNAL:\u00a0 Your Choice &#8211; &#8211; Write about whatever you would like for 5 minutes and at least half a page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today we discussed the &#8220;Two Brothers&#8221; and took notes on the plot diagram in our notebooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6th hour ONLY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JOURNAL:\u00a0 Miserable &#8211; &#8211; Explain what makes you miserable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today in class we used the story &#8220;The Two Brothers&#8221; and dissected it into the individual parts of the plot diagram.  We will practice this more and students will be expected to do this with a short story given to them un a quiz in the next few weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HOMEWORK (3rd and 6th hours):  I checked in the 4 IXLs that were due today (A.1, B.1, B.2, and F.1).  Many students need to complete these.
