Plus 5 words from previous lists.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">Writing<\/span>&#8211; Using a checklist to improve writing, and adding details to narrative writing.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Math<\/span>&#8211; Using Base 10 and place value to solve problems. Counting and solving money problems using dollars and coins. Using correct dollar and cents notation.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Science<\/span>&#8211; Life Cycle of a Flowering Plant<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Social Studies<\/span>&#8211; Being a Good Citizen<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Important Reminders<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Check <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">folders<\/span> <\/strong>for homework and unfinished classwork. Some students have quite a bit to catch up on.<\/li>\n<li>Students have math, reading, and spelling <strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">homework<\/span><\/strong> EVERY night unless noted in their planner.<\/li>\n<li>Please check, read, and sign their <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">planner<\/span><\/strong> EVERY day. I often write reminders and notes in their planners.<\/li>\n<li>Remind students to follow the <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">school expectations<\/span><\/strong> for behavior. It may be getting spring-like, but there is still another month of learning and work ahead of us.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage your child to<strong> <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">persevere<\/span><\/em><\/strong> when work is difficult or challenging.
