Under Announcements, you will find a link to the <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Q9wDPGH6VtfAyb1XPlrXwlK43W0cdNhJBTlzsEjpIHc\/edit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">April Learning Plan<\/a>. This is where you will find links to all the math, reading, and writing lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assignments and materials are also found under the different subjects. There are Reading, Writing and Social Studies materials and assignments so far. There are due dates! <strong>These assignments will be graded.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assignments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reading<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the April Learning Plan and Google Classroom, students MUST login to RAZ Kids every day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will continue to use Raz Kids as our assigned reading. Students who are reading at<strong> levels A-J <\/strong>will continue to read and complete at<strong> least 2 quizzes per day.<\/strong> Students reading at <strong>levels K-Z <\/strong>will only be required to complete <strong>one quiz per day. Need to read 20 minutes daily. Keep reading until 30 minutes are up or split it, 10 minutes then another 10 minutes\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your child should listen, read<strong> AND<\/strong> do the quiz for each book. They need to be working on level up, not in the reading room. Also, if your child is having trouble on the quiz with a specific skill for example, the author&#8217;s purpose: they can use IXL to strengthen their skill then complete the quiz. If your child does not complete all tasks, they can\u2019t go to the next level.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Spelling<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>List 27 Contractions &#8212;  Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spellingcity.com\/view-spelling-list.html?listId=68913975\">https:\/\/www.spellingcity.com\/view-spelling-list.html?listId=68913975<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be sure to go to the April Learning Plan <strong>daily<\/strong> for activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Language Arts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Grammar Activities on IXL: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ixl.com\/ela\/grade-2\/complete-the-word-with-the-ending-that-you-hear\">Word Endings<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ixl.com\/ela\/grade-2\/identify-base-words-prefixes-and-suffixes\">Base words, prefixes, and suffixes<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Math<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As in the April Learning Plan, students will need to watch Eureka Math videos and do a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zearn.org\">Zearn<\/a> lesson daily if available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Monday &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/gm.greatminds.org\/en-us\/knowledge-for-grade-2-em-m6l10\">Lesson 10<\/a> and Zearn Lesson 10<\/li><li>Tuesday- <a href=\"https:\/\/gm.greatminds.org\/en-us\/knowledge-for-grade-2-em-m6l11\">Lesson 11<\/a> -No Zearn Lesson<\/li><li>Wednesday- <a href=\"https:\/\/gm.greatminds.org\/en-us\/knowledge-for-grade-2-em-m6l12\">Lesson 12<\/a> and Zearn Lesson 12<\/li><li>Thursday- <a href=\"https:\/\/gm.greatminds.org\/en-us\/knowledge-for-grade-2-em-m6l13\">Lesson 13<\/a> and  Zearn Lesson 13<\/li><li>Friday- <a href=\"https:\/\/gm.greatminds.org\/kotg-em\/knowledge-for-grade-2-em-m6-l14\">Lesson 14 <\/a>and Zearn Lesson 14<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to IXL and complete the starred activities about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ixl.com\/science\/grade-2\/classify-fruits-and-vegetables-as-plant-parts\">classifying plants<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ixl.com\/science\/grade-2\/identify-plant-parts-and-their-functions\">plant parts.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social Studies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Complete the Google Classroom reading and activity. Then go to IXL to do the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ixl.com\/social-studies\/grade-2\/purpose-of-government\">purposes of government.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dearborn Continuing Education Plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dearborn Public School&#8217;s Continuing Education Plan has been approved and will go into affect Monday. I will be posting the plan on here so that parents can see what the district expectations are for teachers, parents, and students.
