Hi everybody! I hope you are doing well. I have included different<\/strong> lessons again this week with the same format. I put the Maker Stations posting from a previous blog in this blog as well as a reminder to complete 3 activities. I am adding new pictures that were sent to me. When we put the baking soda and vinegar with the water it started to fizz.  And then when we put the raisins in alot ofbthem went down except one.  Then they started to rise back up.

Storyline Online is a great STEAM resource for parents and children to do at home. There is no login and the story is read to students. Storyline Online has an activity guide section for teachers and parents with many STEAM activities relating to the story. I have included the parent activity guide which gives discussion questions and STEAM ideas relating to the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mystery Science is a science resource we use. You should be able to click on the links to get to the lessons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brain pop is another good science resource. Students can take the quiz at the end of the lesson. There are also other activities they can do corresponding to the lesson. The site also contains lessons from other subject areas. They have given us free access for schools that are closed. Maker Stations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am including the Maker Stations in this blog post again so you can continue to work on these at home. Brooke Brown has created a free pack of 15 Maker Stations<\/a> for three weeks of at-home learning. Each Maker Station includes simple challenges using items around the home, scannable QR code resources, and a student recording sheet. Enjoy the activities! You can do them all but please complete at least 3 total over the next month. Bring the student reflection and recording sheets (the page with the blueprint) to school when we get back so I can see what you did. Another option would be to take a picture of your finished projects and send to my email: flemink@dearbornschools.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
