Students had to fill in the t-chart on their Group Project Scene Analysis sheet and they had to continue filling in their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1KTeqGT1HRV9Lx9qKTdJBLiKXtENzidTshDD_ApM-w64\/edit?usp=sharing\">R&amp;J Movie Notetaker<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Students also worked on summarizing their chosen scene and planning out the setting, props, and costumes for their project.<\/li>\n<li>Students received a <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1RHzyx-XRAGFUvhRRyXxEVBEz1K89c5-KzDMjRG4xdeQ\/edit?usp=sharing\">letter<\/a> to take home to their parents detailing how this project has an out-of-school work expectation.\u00a0 Students should be meeting up outside of school to get the project done. This is due by <em><strong>WEDNESDAY 5\/23<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tuesday 5\/22:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SSR for 15 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Students were introduced to the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/145QyNpPxUdHtPJD7YWIshb8Zx-vLAWmGrlAWh7LtwNw\/edit?usp=sharing\">storyboard<\/a> aspect of the R&amp;J Group Project. Students must draw and caption the major action involved in their chosen scenes. This is one of the components assessed under &#8220;Preparation&#8221; on the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1ZWbGt0DWJSVIFhRWHdKprn0niVmM5z3h8QCFN1ka4c0\/edit?usp=sharing\">R&amp;J Performance Project Rubric.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>We also discussed how students are expected to write their lines, whether adapted or not, on notecards to be turned in.<\/li>\n<li>This is the last group work day IN CLASS. <em><strong>The project is due on Wednesday and Thursday of next week (May 30th and 31st).<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Wednesday 5\/23:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Parent signatures for the project letter are due!<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>SSR for 15 min<\/li>\n<li>Students worked in pairs on a close reading of <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1qzuNrXkRUmltkPaJbnRzA9L003W-QJTf9AO2x_lW8es\/edit?usp=sharing\">Act 3, Scene 1: Mercutio&#8217;s Death Speech<\/a>.\u00a0 They deciphered figurative language and discussed its role in the overall message of the passage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Thursday 5\/24:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SSR for 15 min<\/li>\n<li>Students worked individually on a close reading of <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1351PNYGFOdzrVuzJnxc3u80PIfkpBDJrZM-OLEvuq7w\/edit?usp=sharing\">Act 3, Scene 3: Romeo is Banished<\/a>.\u00a0 Again, they focused on interpreting figurative language and its role in the overall message of the passage. <em>This was turned in at the end of the hour.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Also, we discussed the &#8220;Justification&#8221; part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1ZWbGt0DWJSVIFhRWHdKprn0niVmM5z3h8QCFN1ka4c0\/edit?usp=sharing\">R&amp;J Performance Project Rubric.<\/a>\u00a0Students must explain the choices they made for their project in an 8-10 sentence paragraph. See the rubric or ask me if you have any questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Friday 5\/25:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enjoy the long weekend!
