If an activity is turned in after the deadline, a 20% deduction will be assessed to grade for that activity. See me if you have any questions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chinese Philosophies Project Directions<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the Chinese Philosophies chapter (CH. 21), you will be choosing three activities that interest you. You will be learning about the three Chinese philosophies as you complete your chosen activities. You can use the resources provided by me and by also referencing the social studies book to help you complete your work.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf You must complete THREE activities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf At least ONE activity will be a quiz, BUT you cannot create more than one quiz.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf You must complete your activities by each activity deadline.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Each activity is worth TWENTY\u00ad-FIVE&nbsp; (25) summative points.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Review the rubric for grading.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf You will be given class time for these projects. ______________________________________________<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadlines for work completion&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activity One\u00ad Due by the end of class <strong>Monday, March 9th.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activity Two \u00adDue by the end of class <strong>Tuesday, March 10th.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activity Three\u00ad Due by the end of class <strong>Wednesday March 11th.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THREE CHINESE PHILOSOPHIES INDEPENDENT PROJECT SELECTIONS<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Interview a Famous Chinese Person or group<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Directions:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Research a famous Chinese person who made an important contribution to the history and legacy of ancient China. Some choices are as follows: , the Zhou, Confucious, Laozi, or Hanfeizi. Take notes as you research.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Using the notes from your research develop an interview format for your \u201cfamous Chinese person\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf You may choose to interview and \u201cbe\u201d the famous person, but this will take some planning and creativity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Develop a script for your interview. This should be preapproved by a teacher before recording your interview. The script must include significant personal details of the person as well as this<strong> <\/strong>person\u2019s impact and major contributions to Chinese history.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Your interview should be no longer than two or three minutes.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Pick two Chinese Philosophies to Compare and Contrast&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research the three Chinese Philosophies. How are they similar and different from one another? Write a four paragraph compare\/contrast paper. I will provide your planning blueprint.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Complete a poster on The Mandate of Heaven \u00ad<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Draw and label a diagram that the cycle of events by which&nbsp; Be sure to include all of the most important details of the mandate.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Make a quiz of the following chapter: Ch. 21<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, read the entire chapter and take a minimum of 15 notes on the chapter (informative, substantial). Then design a 20 question quiz that is broken down to the following categories: 5 matching, 10 multiple choice, and 5 True and False. You must present an answer key with your completed quiz.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Make an Advertisement or Poster about your favorite Chinese Philosophy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Read up on the three Chinese Philosophies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Create an advertisement\/poster about your favorite philosophy. Include a picture, dates, and other important things .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Make your advertisement colorful, interesting, and descriptive.<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Below are the directions for the Chinese Philosophies Project.
