We had so much fun Reading and learning in the month of March, It started off with a bang with our Pete the Cat Kick off school assembly! We had fun activities all through the month like sunglasses day, groovy button day, and camping day! We had awesome guest readers and book logs to track all the reading that was going on at home, Toward the end of the month we had our annual Bingo for Books event, and also our field trip to the Dearborn Centennial Library! I hope you all enjoyed reading month as much as I did.
February was a fun month in Pre-K. We had our friendship celebration on February 14th, we had a fun parent meeting about eating healthy and taking care of our teeth. We also learned about patterns and made a graph to decide if we liked to wear mittens or gloves!
A special thanks to all who attended the January parent meeting! I hope you all enjoyed it! Please keep practicing math activities with your students at home! Here is the power point presentation to remind you of the games we learned.
The students are finally starting to settle into their routines, most of them have stopped crying at drop off, and the questions about when school will be over have gotten fewer and fewer. We have completed their beginning of year assessments and are very excited to share with you what we have learned at parent teacher conferences in November. We will use the test results to set goals for your children, so please come to your conference prepared to discuss what you want most for your child to learn from pre- school.

Our first week of soft starts has come to a close and it was a great week in Pre K! The students are learning about school routines, such as, sitting on the carpet, walking together in the hallways, sharing toys, and taking turns. We read some fun books about Pete The Cat and made silly masks, and we had tons of fun playing with Balloons and Sticks during Large Group! It was a great week, and Mrs. Omar and I are looking forward to our first week of full day preschool next week! See you on Monday!
WE LOVE TO PLAY OUTSIDE!!!
