Don\u2019t forget to follow social distancing guidelines and wear a mask if you need to!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nutrition and Healthy Eating<\/strong><br>Today we will focus on encouraging our children to <strong><em>CHOOSE<\/em><\/strong> water to drink when they are thirsty! But, sometimes you may find your family craving something different to drink like sweet and fizzy pop. Drinking pop can pack sugar into your diet, add hundreds of unnecessary calories to your daily intake, and causes cavities! <span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">For a great, fizzy treat, try this pop alternative:<\/span><br>\u2022 Start with your children\u2019s favorite kind of juice \u2013 make sure it\u2019s 100% juice with no added sugar (Try apple, cranberry, or grape)<br>\u2022 Add \u00bc cup of juice into 1 cup of sparkling water<br>\u2022 Stir it well and drink it over ice<br>\u2022 This adds flavor and bubbles without the added sugar, while still giving you plenty of hydration<br>\u2022 Share your children\u2019s creations and recipes by posting online, using <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">#healthykidsquarantined<\/span><\/strong> Remember to stay hydrated!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Physical ActivityHandout: Slow Yoga FlowToday will take you through a range of physical activities that are fun for the whole family.
