{"id":119,"date":"2019-10-30T00:23:40","date_gmt":"2019-10-30T04:23:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ela6\/?p=119"},"modified":"2019-10-30T00:23:42","modified_gmt":"2019-10-30T04:23:42","slug":"elements-of-plot-and-point-of-view-test-friday-november-1st-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ela6\/2019\/10\/30\/elements-of-plot-and-point-of-view-test-friday-november-1st-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Elements of Plot and Point of View Test Friday, November 1st, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We will finish our narrative unit this week with an application test that requires students to apply their knowledge of the elements of a plot diagram, types of conflicts and point of view to an unfamiliar narrative text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will take a practice test on Thursday in order to become familiar with the test format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students should be familiar with :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Types of conflicts: External (character vs character, character vs. society, character vs nature) and Internal (character vs self)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Points of View: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First-person (I, me, my) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second-person (you, your) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Third-person (he, she, they)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Know the three types of Third-person: omniscient, limited, objective<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DON&#8217;T FORGET!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conferences will be held on November 11th and November 13th from 4-7pm.
