&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Before reading:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You may read to your child a text before he or she reads it.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Have your child make predictions about what might happen next.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Have your child use picture clues from the cover to predict what the book is about.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>During reading:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Read out loud to your child.<\/li><li>Listen to your child read.<\/li><li>Echo read (you read a line and then have your child repeat the line).<\/li><li>Read together at the same time (choral reading).<\/li><li>Reread or retell favorite stories.<\/li><li>Talk to your son or daughter about what they are reading.<\/li><li>Talk about how the pictures in the book connect to the words on the page.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After reading, you may:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ask \u201cWhat do you remember from the text?\u201d<\/li><li>&nbsp;Ask questions about the reading (who, what, when, where, why).<\/li><li>Have your child talk about his or her favorite parts of the story and why.<\/li><li>Ask \u201cWhat have you learned from the text?\u201d<\/li><li>Ask \u201cWho was in the book and what did this character do in the story?\u201d<\/li><li>Connect the story to your child\u2019s life or to other books you and your child have read together.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Example for a daily schedule<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Math problem (addition and subtraction up to 1000, multiplication and division for 3rd graders)<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read for 20 minutes &#8211; talk to someone at home about what you read<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Look at the topic for daily writing on google classroom.&nbsp; Write about it on paper then record it online and send it to me on Class Dojo or take a picture and send it to me.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edmentum math&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read to someone for 30 minutes.&nbsp;
