PTA Reflections Contest:\u00a0 Let\u2019s make this OUR Year!!!!<\/p>\n
Every year the National PTA Council sponsors a contest for students.\u00a0 They say, \u201cPTA Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home. Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2017-2018 Theme: Within Reach.<\/p>\n
The arts\u2014and the National PTA Reflections program\u2014support student success and serve as a valuable tool for building strong partnerships in your school community. Celebrate arts learning in your school community with Reflections.<\/p>\n
National PTA Reflections welcomes all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Annually, thousands of students will reflect on a common theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Art Department participates from Snow, but in the past there have been few to zero participants in most categories.\u00a0 This year we are hoping students will catch the bug and find a category they are interested in AND create something they will submit.<\/p>\n
Each classroom has a handout on the specifics for the categories: \u00a0Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts.\u00a0 The information is also posted by the Art Room and in the Lobby.<\/p>\n
