{"id":331,"date":"2017-06-06T07:46:18","date_gmt":"2017-06-06T11:46:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/drinkes\/?p=331"},"modified":"2017-06-06T07:46:18","modified_gmt":"2017-06-06T11:46:18","slug":"the-week-of-june-5-9-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/drinkes\/2017\/06\/06\/the-week-of-june-5-9-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"The week of June 5 &#8211; 9, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week, we continue to read Ella Enchanted for the sixth grade students. \u00a0The seventh grade students continue reading Where The Red Fern Grows. \u00a0The figurative language\/ literary device assessment will be either Tuesday, June 13th or Wednesday, June 14th.<\/p>\n<p>All missing \/ incomplete assignments are due by Wednesday, June 14th. \u00a0After that, no more missing \/ incomplete assignments will be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>The 6th card marking \/ end of the year report cards will be mailed home. \u00a0Expect the report cards in your mailbox around Thursday, June 22nd or Friday, June 23rd.<\/p>\n<p>Summer school and summer blended letters and\/or phone calls will be happening very shortly. \u00a0Summer school is for students with two or more failing grades in the yearlong classes. \u00a0Summer blended is for students that are two years below in reading and\/or math based on the spring NWEA assessments. \u00a0All other students will have summer learning which a letter went home last week and was to be signed by a parent\/guardian and the signed portion of the letter was to be returned to the student&#8217;s advisory teacher.<\/p>\n<p>All Unis media center books are due. \u00a0Please return them as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week, we continue to read Ella Enchanted for the sixth grade students. \u00a0The seventh grade students continue reading Where The Red Fern Grows. \u00a0The figurative language\/ literary device assessment will be either Tuesday, June 13th or Wednesday, June 14th.
