{"id":210,"date":"2016-04-11T07:47:24","date_gmt":"2016-04-11T11:47:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/drinkes\/?p=210"},"modified":"2016-04-11T07:47:24","modified_gmt":"2016-04-11T11:47:24","slug":"good-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/drinkes\/2016\/04\/11\/good-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"Good morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We will continue text features of genres, such as the genre of folk tales. \u00a0Legends, tall tales, fairy tales, fables, and myths fall under the genre of folk tales.<\/p>\n<p>The M-STEP begins today for <strong>8th<\/strong> graders at Unis. \u00a0This is the state mandated standardized test. \u00a0The 6th graders are slated to go next, followed by the 7th graders. \u00a0Each grade has about a two-week window for the M-STEP test. \u00a0Each student <strong>will not<\/strong> be testing for a full two-weeks.<\/p>\n<p>NWEA testing will begin April 18 through May 13. \u00a0We do not have the schedule yet. \u00a0This is merely the testing window. \u00a0Please remind your son\/daughter about the importance of both tests. \u00a0The results of the tests will be used to place students for next year, such as being in an elective or being placed in enrichment. \u00a0Enrichment is a class that allows each student to receive further instruction in areas such as math or reading.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to the students that are going to the Detroit Tigers game this afternoon versus the Pittsburgh Pirates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We will continue text features of genres, such as the genre of folk tales. \u00a0Legends, tall tales, fairy tales, fables, and myths fall under the genre of folk tales.
