The first card marking has ended.\u00a0 Report cards will be passed out at Parent Teacher Conferences. They are Monday, November 12, 4-7 and November 14, 3:30-6:30.<\/strong>\u00a0 Please come with your parents to the conferences.<\/p>\n

The new card marking has begun.\u00a0 When reading this blog, there are due dates with 2 numbers.\u00a0 They indicate A and B days, whichever day you have Ms. Dowgiallo.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 ie…\u00a0 Nov 7\/8<\/strong> means the B day is due the 7th, the A day is due the 8th.\u00a0 \u00a0Nov 8\/9<\/strong> means the A day is due the 8th, the B day the 9th.\u00a0 Each assignment will have a FINAL day to turn in for partial credit. After that date, they will be marked as a zero and will no longer be accepted<\/strong>.\u00a0 In order to get an A+ on an assignment, it must be 100% completed, on time and neat.<\/p>\n

  1. Frayer models are due Nov 2\/5.\u00a0 \u00a0The first word is either Scientific Method or Engineering Design.\u00a0 Each student was given a second word for the assignment. They should be complete, neat and colored for full credit.\u00a0 Click on the following link to print out a new copy.\u00a0\u00a0frayer model\u00a0<\/a>The last day to turn them in is Nov 8\/9.<\/li>\n
  2. Earthquake Readiness reading is in google classroom.\u00a0 You can print out a new copy if you’ve lost it.\u00a0 The assignment was to do a Box and Summary, (underline important information in each of the 10 paragraphs, then write a one sentence summary for each paragraph) and do the Talking to the text for each paragraph.\u00a0 \u00a0(What questions do you have or what did it make you think about?)\u00a0 \u00a0We will discuss and do the final question on Nov 7\/8.\u00a0 \u00a0 It will be handed in Nov 7\/8 for credit.\u00a0 Any late ones will be accepted up until Nov 13\/14.<\/li>\n
  3. We started our next unit.\u00a0 We will be learning about characteristics of living things, how our body systems work together, cells and genetics.\u00a0 The students created a poster of living and nonliving objects to see what they already know about the subject. Here are some examples.<\/li>\n
