Dear Parents, <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n We are taking our field trip to our state capital of Lansing, Michigan on <\/span>Wednesday, April 17th from 8:00-4:15<\/b>. We will be taking a tour of the Michigan State Capitol building and Michigan Historical Museum!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n All students and chaperones<\/span> must be at school between 7:30-7:40<\/b>. We will be <\/span>leaving before school at 8:00 am<\/b> to make it on time. We will be <\/span>meeting<\/b> i<\/span>n the media center<\/b>. If students miss the bus, they need to check into the office and they will be placed in another classroom at school.<\/span><\/p>\n Please be back at Geer Park no later than 4:00 to pick up your child when we return<\/b>. We should be back between 3:45-4:15. If we are running early or late, please be available to pick up your child or wait patiently for them. If you have REMIND, we will text you when we leave Lansing.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Students and chaperones <\/span>MUST PACK A DISPOSABLE LUNCH<\/b> for this trip. Both the Capitol and the Museum have a storage bin to keep our lunches. Please pack the lunches in <\/span>disposable lunch bags<\/b> and<\/b> do not bring reusable water bottles. <\/b>It is more convenient to throw\/recycle all the trash once we are done. Please <\/span>label the lunch bag with your full name<\/b> before coming to school. Students may bring money, but it is not necessary,to purchase any snacks if they are available or gifts from the gift shop if time permits. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Students may bring a MINI travel backpack, but it is not encouraged. They will have to walk around with it on their backs the entire time. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Students will not be allowed to bring electronics <\/b>on the bus. \u00a0We cannot ensure that these items will be secure and they are not allowed on the tours. \u00a0You may bring a good book or card games to pass the time but you will have to leave it on the bus! <\/span>Therefore, keep your school backpacks at home.<\/b><\/p>\n Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
