Spelling booklets will be sent home today. \u00a0Please sign your child’s test and return the booklet to school. \u00a0Students did very well on the test. \u00a0Practicing spelling the words at school and doing the spelling homework really helps your child when they take the spelling test on Fridays.<\/p>\n
Reading homework continues to include reading at home 15 minutes or more daily and recording minutes read on the September reading log. \u00a0Please make sure your child reads for homework because it really improves their reading fluency after reading the book several times to practice.<\/p>\n
Open House will be on Thursday, September 13, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. \u00a0I look forward to meeting everyone at Open House.<\/p>\n
Reminders: \u00a0Students have a half day of school on Friday, September 14, and will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. \u00a0Please have your child wear gym shoes on Monday for gym class.<\/p>\n
