Dear First Grade Families, \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a09-13-16<\/p>\n

Once again, our first spelling test will be on Friday. \u00a0Please make sure your child does the spelling homework and studies for the test.<\/p>\n

Homework also includes reading 15 minutes or more daily. \u00a0I will be giving students more books for their book bags soon. \u00a0I am currently testing all students to determine their reading levels.<\/p>\n

Open House is on Thursday from 6:00 – 7:30. \u00a0I hope to see everyone there. \u00a0The students are looking forward to showing you our classroom.<\/p>\n

On Friday, there is a school assembly called “Proud Like A Lion.” \u00a0Students may wear clothing with the name of the Detroit Lions football team, or the colors of the team, to show support.<\/p>\n

Please have your child bring a healthy snack and a water bottle\u00a0each day.<\/p>\n
