Spelling booklets will be sent home today. \u00a0Please sign and return.<\/p>\n
Students will take the Unit 6 Math Test on Friday. \u00a0I will send home a study guide soon. \u00a0Please help your child study for the test.<\/p>\n
Social Studies lessons focus on geography. \u00a0Students are studying the different ways we learn about places. \u00a0We are practicing using maps to locate places. \u00a0For Social Studies homework, please help your child write his or her home address. \u00a0Also, have them draw a picture of your house to go with it.<\/p>\n
Our previous unit for Social Studies was Economics. \u00a0Students learned about goods, services, producers and consumers. \u00a0Students have been making craft goods to sell at the First Grade Market Day. \u00a0The First Grade Market Day will be held in early April. \u00a0I will send more information about it soon. \u00a0Students are really enjoying acting as producers and making different items to sell.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, March 8, 2016, all students at Haigh will be reading in the hallway. \u00a0Your child may bring a beach towel or blanket to sit on while we are reading in the hallway.<\/p>\n
Reminders: \u00a0Read 20 minutes or more for homework and complete the book summaries. \u00a0Wear gym shoes on Monday.<\/p>\n
