We are working hard to achieve our learning goals. \u00a0Please continue to make sure your child reads for homework 15 minutes or more each day. \u00a0The February reading log calendar is due next week. \u00a0Also, please make sure your child continues to do the spelling homework.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, February 25, we will celebrate the 100th day of school. \u00a0Your child may bring in a collection of 100 items any day this week. \u00a0This is not required, but your child may enjoy this activity.<\/p>\n
The Unit 5 Math test will be sent home today. \u00a0Spelling booklets will also be sent home. \u00a0Please sign the spelling booklet and return.<\/p>\n
Unit 6 Math lessons will include addition, subtraction, fact families, fact triangles, measurement, shapes, and telling time.<\/p>\n
Social Studies lessons will include the study of how we learn about places. \u00a0Students will learn how to read a map. \u00a0They will also learn about absolute location or the specific address for a location. \u00a0Please help your child review his or her home address.<\/p>\n
Science lessons will continue to involve the study of matter, solids, liquids, and gas. \u00a0Students are also learning about properties of objects.<\/p>\n
Writing lessons will concentrate on the personal narrative or experience story.<\/p>\n
Reminders: \u00a0Gym on Tuesday; Return library book on Friday.<\/p>\n
