E.L.A. 7 WRITING ASSIGNMENT<\/p>\n

Imagine that one day, you are walking home from Lowrey and you find $500 on the sidewalk.
\nPlease write a creative, interesting description of what you would do with the money.<\/p>\n
Remember to describe:
\n\uf0b7 WHEN did you find the money? (What month, day, time, etc.?)
\n\uf0b7 WHERE did you find the money? (Street name, by a home or a business.)
\n\uf0b7 WHO was with you when you found the money? (Will you share?)
\n\uf0b7 WHAT are some other ideas for what you could do with the money?
\n\uf0b7 HOW will you spend the money? (It could be for you or for charity.)
\n\uf0b7 and anything else fun and creative that you can think of!<\/p>\n
Remember: SHOW not TELL and details, details, details.<\/p>\n
1. First, write a rough draft on loose leaf. Please skip lines for the rough draft. Your rough draft should be
\nAT LEAST one page (skipping lines) but more than one page is probably better.<\/p>\n
2. Read through your draft. Use colored pencils to REVISE your rough draft. You should make at least
\nthree improvements to your rough draft. (HINT: word choice, thesaurus)<\/p>\n
3. On a new sheet of loose leaf, write a final copy. You should take your time and use your best handwriting for your final copy. DO NOT SKIP LINES! Please try to fit your final copy on the FRONT only of the loose leaf.<\/p>\n
4. Neatly staple your final copy on top of your rough draft.<\/p>\n
HINT: Your rough draft and final copy are due IN CLASS! Please get right to work and do not waste time in class. This assignment is worth AT LEAST 10 points, probably more.<\/p>\n
