If you feel like you didn’t get all your questions answered or you can’t find the information you need, please feel free to drop me an e-mail at email@example.com. I am available most mornings to meet with parents. Please let me know beforehand if you will be stopping by as I do attend meetings frequently.
My Classroom Mission
To engage students in reading strategies that will improve their love of reading and become successful life long learners.
I attended the University of Dayton and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. I went back to the University of Dayton and received my Master’s Degree in Adolescent and Young Adult Education. After several years in the classroom, I went back to Madonna University and earned my Master’s in Learning Disabilities. I am “highly qualified” in the area of Language Arts.
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. There are three elements that I believe are conducive to establishing such an environment, (1) the teacher acting as a guide, (2) allowing the child’s natural curiosity to direct his/her learning, and (3) promoting respect for all things and all people.
