I brought in popcorn and used three different heat transfer methods to cook it for the class.\u00a0 They enjoyed the popcorn while drawing and discussing the methods of heat transfer in their groups.\u00a0 We also watched a video and used a website to add to the notes.\u00a0 Ask your child to see pages 19-24 of their cognitive notebook.<\/p>\n<p>In math we continued to work on our number <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">s<\/span>ustained<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> l<\/span>earning <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">o<\/span>ver <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">t<\/span>ime unit looking at finding GCF thru prime factorization.\u00a0 Then using the GCF to simplify fractions.\u00a0 We also used our new book to round decimals, look for patterns, read graphs, and organize information.<\/p>\n<p>The grade book for the first marking period has closed,\u00a0 and I have posted grades.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week in science we continued to explore the essential question\u00a0 What are the three types of heat transfer?
