We know that the arctic is a cold climate and we were wondering how the animals stay warm.<\/p>\n<p>We learned that some of the animals have a layer of blubber underneath their skin. The blubber helps to keep the animals warm in the cold temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>We participated in an experiment to better understand how blubber keeps the animals warm. First, we stuck our hands in a bucket of ice cold water. Then we put on a &#8220;blubber glove&#8221; to see the difference it would make in how the ice water felt.<\/p>\n<p>The blubber glove was made using baggies and shortening.<\/p>\n<p>Here are pictures
