*** NO SCHOOL FOR KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6th.***<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was sick on Monday and had to leave early. Unfortunately, the children missed their library Check-Out time. We will attend library on Monday. If your child has not yet returned their book, please send it in by Monday morning in order for them to check out a new book!<\/p>\n

**** Due to a peanut allergy in our room, please do not send in any snacks that contain nuts.*****<\/strong><\/p>\n

Agenda for the Week<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reading and Writing:\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>We worked on recognizing and writing the letter D and the letter W. We learned the sound of each letter and practiced identifying objects that begin with each letter sound. Please continue to help your child correctly hold a pencil and form each letter.<\/p>\n

We continue practicing our Daily 5 routines and procedures. the children are building stamina and are able to sit in a rotation for a longer amount of time each day.<\/p>\n

We learned about positional words (or prepositions) such as in, out, above, below, between, on, off, up, down. The children completed a cute activity where they paired up with a partner and I gave directions on where to put their hands (ex. on your partner’s head, in your own pockets, below your chin, etc).
