{"id":258,"date":"2018-09-25T10:06:54","date_gmt":"2018-09-25T14:06:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/dexter\/?p=258"},"modified":"2018-09-25T10:08:16","modified_gmt":"2018-09-25T14:08:16","slug":"week-of-september-24th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/dexter\/2018\/09\/25\/week-of-september-24th\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of September 24th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Field Trip is Thursday, September 26th!!\u00a0 Please be sure to pack a lunch.\u00a0 Chaperones, please make sure you are at the school by 8AM.\u00a0 Bus will leave promptly at 8:30AM.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what is happening this week:<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELA<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Here are the spelling words: object, encounters, dissolve, poster, comedy, introduction, metric, gossip, program, meter, focus, federalism, rotation, vocal, exponential, exponent, expanded, oppose, mass, pocket.<\/li>\n<li>We are wrapping up inferencing and supporting it with text.<\/li>\n<li>We will begin working on theme of a story by identifying details of characters and using graphic organizers.<\/li>\n<li>In writing we are publishing our personal narratives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Math<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We will be working on using exponents to denote powers of 10 with application to metric conversions.<\/li>\n<li>Then we will work on naming decimal fractions in expanded, unit, and word forms by applying place value reasoning.
