It&#8217;s a great time to practice!  On another note, Mr. Dearth checked out IXL!  He had fun going through all the math and science activities.  I guess I will have to add him to our class.   Here are your lessons for today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Math<\/strong>-Exit Ticket for lesson 6. <strong>Quiz time! <\/strong> See how well you do on Topic Quiz A for Module 6.  It is posted in Classroom.   I will let you know!  Now, you are ready for lesson 7; Video, Application, Problem Set, and Zearn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Eureka Math Grade 5 Module 6 Lesson 7\" width=\"525\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7WqSYo83Bzg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reading<\/strong>-Treasures book pg 516-517, &#8220;Ice and More Ice&#8221;.  Read the story then write your own sentence using the vocab words that are highlighted in the article.  Think about the parts of the word just like we do at school to figure out the definitions.  Ex-dismantled; dis means not, mantle means cover; dismantle means to take apart, no longer together.   The assignment is posted in Classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Science<\/strong>-read pg C26 in your book, Earth&#8217;s Major Layers.  After reading, write about the following in Classroom: Describe the atmosphere, lithosphere, and hydrosphere.  Give several details about each.  <strong>Vocabulary<\/strong>-identify the root of each layer  &amp; meaning of the root.  The assignment is posted in Classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Social Studies<\/strong>-read pgs 272-275 carefully!  As you read yesterday, the French and Indian War played a major part in the 13 Colonists&#8217; lives.  While reading today, take notes as you read each section.  Set up your paper like an outline: <strong>The Ohio River Valley<\/strong> as your heading with 2 details to support it.  <strong>Fort Duquesne and Fort Necessity<\/strong> as your next heading with 2-3 details to support it and so on.     You will have 6 headings in this section with 2-3 details for each.  The assignment is posted in Classroom and will take 2 days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IXL<\/strong>-go to <strong>5th grade and then math<\/strong> \u2013 go to \u201cW\u201d Data and Graphs and complete 1-5 \u2013 there are stars next to those numbers &amp; should be yellow. When you are done, stay in 5th grade math and do \u201cX\u201d Probability and Statistics 1-5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then stay in IXL and go to <strong>5th grade Language Arts<\/strong> \u2013 go to \u201cN\u201d Analyzing informational texts and do 1-2. When you are done, stay in Language Arts and go to \u201cF\u201d Literary Devices \u2013 do 1-3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After getting some exercise in your backyard, settle in with your on reading with a warm blanket!
