Honors\nBiology is an advanced high school course to engage students in the study of\nlife and living organisms and allow them a chance to explore various components\nof biology. Topics that will be covered in class include evolution, ecology,\nbiochemistry, cell biology, biotechnology, genetics and heredity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Students learn\nthe content using real world situations, case studies, technology and by doing\nexperiments and hands-on activities. It also encourages students to explore new\ndiscoveries in the field. This course is\naligned with the Next Generation Science Standards with goals to develop understanding\nof content and improve key skills including communication, collaboration,\ninquiry, problem solving, and creative thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
