We will also read our Article of the Week to annotate evidence that supports our opinions. Then, we are working on either our body paragraphs for our character analysis or our CER responses using the evidence we found for the Article of the Week. Both of these will be due by <strong>next Wednesday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Homework<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read<\/strong> 20 minutes &amp; <strong>respond thoughtfully<\/strong> on reading log\n<ul>\n<li>Many students aren&#8217;t receiving full credit on these due to the fact that they are only summarizing what they read instead of reflecting, or not writing a full 2 or 3 sentences per response!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Update: \u00a0Due to the fact that I received so many late assignments and projects this marking period (and the marking periods prior), as well as the fact that we only have TWO \u00a0more marking periods left to prepare our students for 7th grade(!!), I am now taking 10% credit off for any assignments turned in late. <\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The only exception will be absences and the assignment must be turned in the day the student returns. \u00a0Late assignments will not be acceptable in 7th grade and students need to be prepared to meet deadlines or face the consequences for not doing so. \u00a0Thank you for your support in this new policy for remainder of the year!<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we are reading &#8220;The Good Deed&#8221; in our literature books and identifying theme.
