Then we presented our Figurative Language Projects for those that wanted to share theirs. \u00a0We have a test on Figurative Language tomorrow that we will review for at the end of class! \u00a0The test will be on definitions and examples of: \u00a0<strong>similes, metaphors, hyperboles, alliterations, onomatopoeias, personification, imagery, idioms, symbolism, and allusions.\u00a0<\/strong>All definitions and examples can be found in their Reading ISNs which they should take home to help study. \u00a0There will be some comprehension questions on this test about &#8220;All Summer in a Day&#8221; and &#8220;The Jacket&#8221; which we previously read and discussed in class. They will be able to use their Literature books for the comprehension questions<\/p>\n<p>Homework<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Review<\/strong> figurative language devices (pg 25-32 in Reading ISN)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Read<\/strong> for 20 minutes and <strong>respond<\/strong> on reading log<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We will be discussing our \u00a0NWEA scores today \u00a0and making new goals for ourselves.
