MORE THAN ONCE A DAY!!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Synchronous Time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We continued working on understanding our Lexile scores today and how to choose a \u201cGood Fit\u201d book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Asynchronous Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>ReadTheory (5 quizzes)<\/strong>\u2013 log onto ReadTheory and finish the pretest so you can start your homework quizzes \u2013&nbsp;<strong>5 quizzes due Friday @ 3:10pm<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>(you will see this as 20 total quizzes passed since Sept. 10th)<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>CommonLit Annotations<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 10 or more annotations (blue\/yellow\/green) in the article \u201cRaising Elephants.&nbsp;<strong>(This is now late, please turn in ASAP)<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>\u201cRaising Elephants\u201d Writing Prompt&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 <strong>(this is now late, turn in ASAP)<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Find a \u201cGood Fit\u201d book and bring to class on Friday &#8211; know the Lexile!<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">School Announcements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Any boys interested in trying out for basketball, there will be a MANDATORY zoom meeting on <strong>Tuesday, October 13th @ 3 pm<\/strong>. <strong>Zoom meeting link will be shared on Bryant&#8217;s sports blog.<\/strong> Parents are encouraged to attend this meeting along with students. We will discuss rules, expectations and protocol for this year&#8217;s tryouts. Any questions please contact Mr. Piche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be a MANDATORY Zoom meeting for anyone interested in trying out for the girls swim team on <strong>Thursday, October 8th @ 3:15 pm.<\/strong> <strong>The Zoom meeting link is posted on the school&#8217;s sports blog. <\/strong>Parents are encouraged to attend this meeting along with students. We will discuss team rules, expectations, and protocols for this year&#8217;s tryouts. Virtual labs will continue on days when in-person labs are not in session. (FYI &#8211; Each teacher has a different lab day)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This week\u2019s schedule break down<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are following the Bryant Half Day schedule during Synchronous time this week. You still have Asynchronous time on these days (except Friday which is a true half day)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Monday<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 B day (students have Jones)<\/li><li><strong>Tuesday<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 A day (students have Peterson)<\/li><li><strong>Wednesday&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 B day (students have Jones)<\/li><li><strong>Thursday&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 A day (students have Peterson)<\/li><li><strong>Friday&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 B day (students have Jones)  &#8211; <strong>Half day, no learning labs<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your Zoom sessions are set up in your teachers\u2019 Schoology courses. Should you have any Tech issues during Synchronous time (AM), you need to contact the\u00a0<strong>Dearborn Technology Department\u00a0313-827-8400<\/strong>. Shutting down your computer (closing the Chromebook or computer is NOT shutting it down) or making sure you are completely logged out of all other Google accounts on the device you are using fixes most issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bryant&#8217;s Library Now Checking Out Books!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bryant is excited to start to offer curbside library service to Bryant students on\u00a0<strong>Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-2:30 pm<\/strong>\u00a0at the library window (off of Drexel). Books will be passed out to students through the library window, just like a fast food drive thru window. There will be a sign either on the window or in front of the window to show students where to go.\u00a0<strong>Students would need to have no overdues or fines currently, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">would need to place the book on hold using our online\u00a0library catalog<\/span>.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How to Place a Book on Hold at Bryant Media Center:  <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/htT8g5y8p1U\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/htT8g5y8p1U<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Username: student #                  Password:\u00a0 student #<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>**Students will need to hear from the librarian before coming to get the book they placed on hold.
