While I am still out on maternity leave until the new card marking begins, I want to post some reminders on here that will help students understand what is required of them for homework this card marking. <strong>Please read <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">all<\/span> of the information below.<\/strong> Contact my substitute if you have any questions (prosij@dearbornschools.org). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Homework &#8211; all due by end of class October 25th:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. One-Pager #1 <\/strong>&#8211; Students must use a novel they are currently reading, NOT same novel they did summer assignment on. NO graphic novels, if it has pictures it cannot be used for One-Pager. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY.  Normally you  would be required to turn in 2 One-Pagers but since I am not there to guide you along, 1 is required this card-marking only. (20 summative points)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0 Students must have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">30 Read Theory quizzes<\/span> passed between the dates of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">September 23-November 1st<\/span> &#8211; <\/strong>this is the only assignment due by November 1st (the last day of the card marking).<strong> <\/strong>Students have time during the week to work on this in class but it is homework if not completed by end of every week.<strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">5 quizzes must be passed every week to keep up<\/span>.<\/strong> Students can check their quizzes passed in their &#8220;My Progress&#8221; tab &#8211; an image is shared below on how to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">All Read Theory grades will be updated by MONDAY every week<\/span><\/strong>, if your quizzes aren\u2019t done on time you MUST WAIT for your grades to be updated <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">until the following Monday<\/span>. Moby Max<\/strong> &#8211; I assigned the following lessons to prepare for and provide the students practice during our Parts of Speech unit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Parts of Speech Overview Lesson (10 points) &amp; Assessment<\/strong>  <strong>(10 points)<\/strong> <\/li><li><strong>Nouns Lesson (10 points) &amp; Assessment<\/strong>  <strong>(10 points)<\/strong>  <\/li><li><strong>Proper Nouns<\/strong> <strong>Lesson (10 points) &amp; Assessment<\/strong>  <strong>(10 points)<\/strong>  <\/li><li><strong>Possessive Nouns Lesson (10 points) &amp; Assessment<\/strong>  <strong>(10 points)<\/strong>  <\/li><li><strong>Plural Nouns<\/strong> <strong>Lesson (10 points) &amp; Assessment<\/strong>  <strong>(10 points)<\/strong>  <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Moby Max<\/strong> <strong>Information<\/strong>&#8211; Students must sign in through <strong>CLEVER <\/strong>on the Dearborn student page. You can find them under the &#8220;Language&#8221; button or the &#8220;Assignments&#8221; tab. This is HOMEWORK, they will not be given class time to complete this, silent reading time is for novels or Read Theory ONLY.&nbsp; Each lesson is worth 10 points and each assessment is worth 10 points.<strong> <\/strong>Students must receive an <strong>85% or higher for all 10 points on each.<\/strong> I will reassign any that are lower so they may redo for a higher score, otherwise they will receive the percentage earned.<strong> I will not respond to email requests asking me to reset, I will reset every eligible lesson on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Monday and Friday<\/span> until the due date.<\/strong> If you do not redo the lesson or assessment before <strong>October 25th<\/strong>, you will get the percentage earned.&nbsp; <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">This is worth 100 points total (formative), it is not something you want to forget about!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can&#8217;t wait to meet you all when I return in November!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello!
