The students gather evidence like detectives would using the information from a story and a picture and then decided if the witness was lying or telling the truth based on the information we are given. We created a chart that collected our evidence and reasons why we thought that evidence was important and then used it to write a CER paragraph on whether the witness was lying or not.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For writer\u2019s workshop yesterday we began our first CER using textual evidence. This was about the main point of view the author writes \u201cEleven\u201d in.
