I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful long weekend. Here is the upcoming week at a glance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will begin <strong>DRA reading assessments <\/strong>this week. This is when I test each student individually on reading comprehension and fluency. This assessment guides me as a teacher to better understand your child as a reader. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NWEA- <\/strong>This week, I will be administering the NWEA assessment as well. Students take this assessment three times a year: fall, winter and spring. They will be taking the assessment on Chromebooks in the classroom. Please make sure they arrive to school on time, and eat a hearty breakfast! Here is the schedule below: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reading: <\/strong>9\/4\/19- 9:00 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Math:<\/strong> 9\/5\/19- 9:00 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Language: <\/strong>9\/11\/19- 9:00 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Math~ <\/strong>We will begin math this week and the students will start working on Zearn.org. More information will be coming home in regards to this. Also, look out for daily math homework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:left\"><strong>Leader in Me- Seven Habits: <\/strong>We will continue building our classroom environment by practicing expectations and procedures. Ask your child how they demonstrating putting &#8220;First things First&#8221; this week! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Updated Special Schedule- click on the link.
