{"id":1161,"date":"2018-09-23T18:31:42","date_gmt":"2018-09-23T22:31:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/curried\/?p=1161"},"modified":"2018-09-23T18:33:52","modified_gmt":"2018-09-23T22:33:52","slug":"this-week-at-a-glance-9-24-9-28","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/curried\/2018\/09\/23\/this-week-at-a-glance-9-24-9-28\/","title":{"rendered":"This week at a glance&#8230;.9\/24-9\/28"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good afternoon families~<\/p>\n<p>I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful fall weekend!\u00a0 Here&#8217;s a look ahead.<\/p>\n<p>ELA~<br \/>\nOur book study- Auggie &amp; Me will officially begin this week.\u00a0 I will be meeting with groups and creating norms as to how each group should look and sound like.\u00a0 Students will declare their reading goals on our Cafe board too.<\/p>\n<p>Spelling~ Week #3.<\/p>\n<p>Writing~ We will continue Narrative writing with our topic-Roller Coasters.\u00a0 We will look at how to add details and examples to our narratives, by using our five senses.<\/p>\n<p>Math~ 4th- Cont. lesson 7 tomorrow. Lesson 8 &amp; 9.<\/p>\n<p>5th~ Continue the mid-module review tomorrow. Tuesday, 9\/25- Mid-Module Assessment. Students will need to use their review, problem sets, and exit slips to help prepare for the Mid-Module Assessment.\u00a0 The rest of the week, we will complete lesson 9 &amp; 10.<\/p>\n<p>*ALL students need to complete any incomplete sprints at home, as this will help sharpen their mental math skills.*<\/p>\n<p>Zearn.org is another great practice tool!<\/p>\n<p>Science~ We completed one mystery last week as a whole class.\u00a0 Each grade will complete their own mystery this week. I am excited to do this, as it&#8217;s always fun doing experiments!<\/p>\n<p>Social Studies~ Continue government unit.<\/p>\n<p>LEADER IN ME~ We will finish up Habit 1- Being Proactive this week. Students will work on the differences of a growth and fixed mindset.\u00a0 We will discuss how a Growth Mindset is one to live by.\u00a0 We will also look at our NWEA scores and create goals for winter testing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good afternoon families~ I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful fall weekend!\u00a0 Here&#8217;s a look ahead.
