Class Christmas Party!!!

Dear Parents,

We are having a Party!!!  December is a very exciting month for third graders and we are going to add to that excitement by having a Christmas Party!! Our party will be on Friday, December 22nd in the afternoon.  At the party the children decided that they would like to have a gently, used book exchange.  For your child to participate in the exchange just send to school a book that your child no longer reads and is gently used, no missing, torn or marked up pages, the week of December 18th.  Please make sure that the book is at grade level.  On the 22nd, the children who bring a book to school will be able to participate in the exchange!  This is voluntary;  it is up to you if your child participates.

I have sent a note home with some of the children requesting supplies for our party.  If you get a note please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to send in this item or not.  If you can not do it this time I need to ask another parent if he/she can sent it in to school.  If you did not get a note but would like to send something in to help the children celebrate please feel free to do so.  We have 25 children in our class.  ( No peanuts or nut products please)

Our last day of school is Friday, December 22nd, and we return to school on Monday, January 8, 2018!

Happy Holidays!!!!!

We are going on a Field Trip!!!!

Today your child will be bringing home a permission slip for a trip to Cranbrook Institute of Science.  We will be going on Friday, January 19, 2018.  This is a bus trip and the children will need to bring a bag lunch with either a juice box or a plastic bottle of water (no glass bottles or water bottles please).  The cost of the trip is $12.oo and this is due on Tuesday, December 19th ( cash only).  We need 4 parents to join us on this trip.  Parents are free.  If I get more than 4 parents who would like to join us I will pull names from a hat as to who will come with us.  Parents will have to drive behind the bus as all third grade classes are going on this trip and we have no room for anyone else on the bus.

The kids are excited and we all can’t wait!

Second and Third Grade Winter Concert

We are having a Winter Concert on Wednesday, December 13th!  The concert will be in the Snow School Gym and begin at 6:00 pm.  Please have the third graders here at 6:00.  The second grade will be performing before us when they are done we will be going on the stage.   The children may wear what they want, however if they have festive attire that would be great!

See you then!!!!
