Hello All!<\/p>\n

I certainly enjoyed meeting and getting to know you this week. \u00a0I can honestly say that I have never been so excited to teach medical assisting. \u00a0Having a room full of bright 2nd year students is very motivating for me\u00a0and I am really looking forward to being your teacher.<\/p>\n

OK…enough of that. \u00a0Here’s the important information:<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0There is an open house on Wednesday, September 14 from 6 to 7:30 pm. \u00a0We will need students here (THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO BE “ACTIVE”) to show parents around, give tours etc… \u00a0If you are willing to help us out, please email me. \u00a0Thank you in advanced.<\/li>\n
  2. You need an enrollment key to get into my iLearn class. \u00a0The enrollment key is flower.<\/li>\n
  3. Once you are enrolled in my Craig Clinical Medical Assisting class, you can scroll down to the section that is called Career Exploration. \u00a0The first item there is the medical assistant interview rubric. \u00a0(I have attached it here, as well, for your convenience). \u00a0Remember to ask the mandatory question: \u00a0DOES YOUR FACILITY ACCEPT EXTERNSHIPS?<\/strong>\u00a0and report this in your paragraph.\u00a0Right underneath the rubric is the area where you are to upload your paragraph. \u00a0REMEMBER: \u00a0the interview is of a MEDICAL ASSISTANT<\/strong> not any other health occupation. \u00a0 \u00a0This assignment is due on Friday, September 16th<\/strong>. \u00a0Don’t wait till the last minute. \u00a0It may take some time to get hold of a busy MA. \u00a0medical_assistant_interview_rubric<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. For those of you that want to get started with memorizing your abbreviations – look in iLearn under Chapter One – The Medical Record. \u00a0I put the folder as the first item for you to find. \u00a0Please just concentrate on the first abbreviation document there. \u00a0Remember, that test will be on Monday, September 19th. \u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
