{"id":221,"date":"2019-02-19T10:29:58","date_gmt":"2019-02-19T15:29:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/chavezfranco\/?p=221"},"modified":"2019-02-19T10:30:44","modified_gmt":"2019-02-19T15:30:44","slug":"spring-2019-spanish-nhs-induction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/chavezfranco\/2019\/02\/19\/spring-2019-spanish-nhs-induction\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring 2019 Spanish NHS Induction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Please open the following document. \u00a0Print, sign and turn in to\u00a0Se\u00f1ora Ch\u00e1vez\u00a0\u00a0by March 15, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID YOUR DUES (MANY OF DID IN SEPTEMBER) YOU MUST ALSO SUBMIT YOUR DUES WITH THE SHH CONTRACT: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>$7.00 new members <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>$5.00 current members that are already inducted.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/chavezfranco\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/420\/2013\/08\/Contrato-para-la-organizaci\u00f3n-de.doc\">Contrato para la organizaci\u00f3n<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In order to be a member of Edsel Ford&#8217;s Primera Familia Chapter of the SHH &#8212; \u00a0Spanish NHS &#8212; you must:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be an active member.<\/li>\n<li>Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings. \u00a0Attendance will be taken. \u00a0Only valid excused absences will be accepted.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the community service requirement(s). \u00a0Community Service logs will be kept to record participation.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in any chapter fundraisers. \u00a0Fundraiser logs will be kept to record participation.<\/li>\n<li>If any of the above are not fulfilled you may be removed from Edsel Ford&#8217;s Primera Famila Chapter of the SHH &#8212; Spanish NHS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ONLY FOR NEW MEMBERS seeking induction to Edsel Ford&#8217;s Primera Familia Chapter of the SHH &#8212; Spanish NHS &#8212; \u00a0in 2018-2019:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>YOU MUST FULFILL ALL OF THE ABOVE (All that is expected from current members).<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>You must be enrolled in Spanish 3 or Spanish 4 &#8212; here at Edsel Ford.<\/li>\n<li>You must be a senior &#8212; graduating this June 2019.<\/li>\n<li>Have at least 4<strong>\u00a0semesters of an A<\/strong> \u00a0in High School Spanish.<\/li>\n<li>If you only have 3 semesters of an A in High School Spanish you will need to submit<strong> TWO<\/strong> letters of recommendation.<\/li>\n<li>If you feel you do not meet the requirements, but would like to be inducted as an\u00a0<em><strong>Honorary\u00a0Member<\/strong><\/em> please see Se\u00f1ora Ch\u00e1vez.<\/li>\n<li>Print and Complete the <strong>Student Profile (you will need to complete this)<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>ATTACH a copy of your TRANSCRIPT. \u00a0Transcript must include September 2018-January 2019 grades.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Print the <strong>Teacher Recommendation<\/strong> form and ask an academic teacher to complete and turn in by the due date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>BOTH FORMS ARE DUE MARCH 15, 2019!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/chavezfranco\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/420\/2013\/08\/SPNHS-Student-Profile.doc\">SPNHS Student Profile<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/chavezfranco\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/420\/2013\/08\/SPNHS-Teacher-Recommendation.doc\">SPNHS Teacher Recommendation<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please open the following document. \u00a0Print, sign and turn in to\u00a0Se\u00f1ora Ch\u00e1vez\u00a0\u00a0by March 15, 2019.
