This week’s spelling focuses on words with the long \/I\/ sound (i, y, ie):<\/p>\n

Our marking period is coming to an end soon.\u00a0 Please make sure your child has all of their homework and test corrections turned in.\u00a0 We are trying to build independence in Second Grade, so your child should be moving toward taking responsibility for homework and assignment completion.<\/p>\n
We will be completing a Social Studies Study Guide this week and we will be taking the test either at the end of this week, or early next week.\u00a0 Please make sure your child completes and brings back their study guide so we can go over it together.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow we have Writing Enrichment and the Book Fair.\u00a0 If you would like your child to purchase something, please place money in a zip lock bag or envelope labeled with their name.\u00a0 The ones who do not come with money can browse and make a wish list for themselves.<\/p>\n
