I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend!\u00a0 We have an exciting week coming up!\u00a0 We will be starting our new math series called “Eureka Math” .\u00a0 This will replace our old Everyday Math Curriculum.\u00a0 We will also begin Science and Social Studies along with Spelling this week.\u00a0 The spelling words for this week are as follows:<\/p>\n
The focus will be on words with the short \/a\/ and short \/i\/ sounds:<\/p>\n
has, sat, will, fix, him.<\/p>\n
I will also add 5 dolch words to this list.<\/p>\n
Your child will come home tomorrow with a “Spelling Tic Tac Toe” sheet with all of the spelling words listed. He or she will be required to do 3 activities from the Tic Tac Toe sheet by Friday and attach them to the word list.\u00a0 The spelling test will be on Friday each week.<\/p>\n
We will have Gym tomorrow, so make sure your child wears their gym shoes! We will also visit the library for library check out.<\/p>\n
