{"id":146,"date":"2014-05-04T13:23:41","date_gmt":"2014-05-04T17:23:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/chasen\/?p=146"},"modified":"2014-05-04T13:23:41","modified_gmt":"2014-05-04T17:23:41","slug":"this-week-in-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/chasen\/2014\/05\/04\/this-week-in-review\/","title":{"rendered":"This week in review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Weekend!\u00a0 This week we will be starting the ABC countdown.\u00a0 The countdown will officially begin on Wednesday, May 7.\u00a0 Look for the official countdown list in your child&#8217;s homework folder tomorrow.\u00a0 I will also send you daily reminders in my blog to help you keep track of what is coming next.<\/p>\n<p>This week in spelling, we will be focusing on changing words ending in \/y\/ to \/iest\/.\u00a0 The words are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>loveliest, crunchiest, prettiest, neediest, spunkiest.<\/p>\n<p>The content words are:<\/p>\n<p>common good, citizenship, justice, rule, citizen.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, the science fair projects are nearing completion.\u00a0 Those will be due May 20th.\u00a0 Make sure your child is practicing their multiplication tables daily.\u00a0 We will be having a Unit 8 math test on Tuesday, then in Unit 9 we will begin converting fractions to decimals and figuring out percentages, so their multiplication facts will really be needed!<\/p>\n<p>I will also begin testing your child this week in reading.\u00a0 Make sure your child reads at least 20-30 minutes each night.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great rest of your weekend and enjoy the beautiful weather!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Weekend!\u00a0 This week we will be starting the ABC countdown.\u00a0 The countdown will officially begin on Wednesday, May 7.\u00a0 Look for the official countdown list in your child&#8217;s homework folder tomorrow.\u00a0 I will also send you daily reminders in my blog to help you keep track of what is coming next.
