Consortium 12/4/2017

Today in Consortium we discussed many important initiatives going on in our school and the importance of enforcing expectations for our students so they can stay on the right track. It was very informative and we were able to discuss some issues and get feedback from our administrators.  Our responsibility is to ensure we are passing this information on to our grade level and content area teams!

Lunch Duty 12/4/2017

I continue to supervise different lunch periods and shadow my middle school administrator Mrs. Sabbagh. It has been a wonderful experience and I am noticing how each administrator has a different approach or technique to ensure a safe and organized lunch period.

Assistant Principal Interviews

On August 30, 2017, I was honored to be on the staff interview committee on selecting a new assistant principal for Lowrey School. This was not an easy task as all interviewers were very well spoken and knowledgeable of the needs of our school. I wish all of the candidates a successful journey in their path to putting students first! I am looking forward to finding out who will be leading our middle school soon!

Professional Development Day 1

On August 29, 2017 secondary teachers, administrators, and different Dearborn Public School staff members came together for a day of professional development! During this day I gained some helpful information including some technological tips on iLearn and important information about empathy and our impact in regards to students in our schools.

New Teacher PD Presentation!

Fellow colleague Rola Sobh and I had the honor of presenting to over 50 newly hired secondary teachers on the topic of MISTAR the SIS used by Dearborn Public School. We focused on the gradebook feature which an essential tool that every teacher will need to know about. I would like to congratulate all the new teachers on their new positions and wish them the best of luck in their first year as teachers in the Dearborn Public School District!
