I just wanted to send out a reminder as I prepare to head out on maternity leave about reading response journals. Mrs. Smith will be seeing your child for their reading group twice per week (either Monday\/Wednesday or Tuesday\/Thursday). They will have a reading response assignment each time they meet and it is due the next time they meet (2 days later). As we have been co-teaching over the past two weeks, have noticed that some students have not been completing their reading response assignments. Reading response is a HUGE component of reading and a major skill on the NWEA test. I am hoping to get your support at home in reminding the students that they need to be completing these assignments while I am out.<\/p>\n
