{"id":374,"date":"2018-03-06T16:41:04","date_gmt":"2018-03-06T21:41:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/cassidn\/?page_id=374"},"modified":"2020-03-13T17:13:25","modified_gmt":"2020-03-13T21:13:25","slug":"pinhole-camera-project","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/cassidn\/class-info\/introduction-to-photography\/pinhole-camera-project\/","title":{"rendered":"PINHOLE CAMERA PROJECT"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><b>Pinhole Camera Project<\/b><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is group activity in groups of three.\u00a0 After the project is completed students will be required to grade themselves and their partners. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re your partner(s) grading of you will influence your overall grade on the project, so <strong>make sure work is equally distributed<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project can be broken into the following stages:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Build the camera<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; This involves following the instructions that you research and select.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Taking pictures<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; This will require a sunny day or at least semi-bright light.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Developing pictures<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; This will usually happen immediately after you take the picture so you can see the results and change your methods accordingly or reevaluate the construction of your camera. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Photo collage <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Your top three photos will be presented along with a positive image. \u00a0Make sure to include a description of how each picture was taken and what can be seen.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Reporting<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Your group must produce a one page, typed report that details the process of camera construction, picture taking, and picture development. \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">This report should be written in the passive, third person tense.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1DdfjTi2B472G7wx64NH52Tdy6A228u1oRHFPBP6hVWQ\/edit?usp=sharing\">Rubic: CLICK HERE<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The camera will also be graded, so plan on turning it in with the collage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Safety First: \u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When building and developing you will be using sharp tools and dangerous chemicals. \u00a0Use common sense and follow instructions safely.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here are examples of negative and positive images created with\u00a0 a pin hole camera:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com\/originals\/17\/3e\/95\/173e95a7855fe17e864fc99608f147fe.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for pinhole camera imagesnegative and positive\" width=\"312\" height=\"183\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/isite.lps.org\/cpetska\/web\/dw\/images\/BegPhoto\/14-15%20T4\/0-Darkroom\/pinhole\/chellsea.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for pinhole camera imagesnegative and positive\" width=\"455\" height=\"181\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/cecilrhhs.weebly.com\/uploads\/7\/0\/1\/9\/7019781\/51975.jpg?647\" alt=\"Related image\" width=\"468\" height=\"186\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pinhole Camera Project This is group activity in groups of three.\u00a0 After the project is completed students will be required to grade themselves and their partners.
