End Of Week Updates!

This week seems to have flown by! We are already in fall temperatures and keeping busy at school. Please make sure your child is dressed properly for recess! We expect them to have a coat or jacket on if the temperature is below 60 degrees and we do enforce this.

This week the students are continuing with our letter of the day, writing name/address/phone number/ and handwriting book page. So far we have practiced vertical lines, horizontal lines, and now circles. These are how we will form the letters in the days to come. This week I have also introduced Benchmark which is the districts language program. The focus is living vs nonliving things and plants and animals have needs. We will be exploring these topics over the next three weeks. Since we have finished our Social Studies rules unit we will focus on science right now. As a fun intro to our apples unit starting next week we have painted with apples today! It was lots of fun to get our fingers messy and stamp paint. My hopes is to do fun projects each Friday as time allows.

If you have not already please subscribe to the school blog as well. Mrs. Fournier posts important information on her blog as well. On the right side of our schools homepage it says sign up for e-news. If you input your email address and click submit it will email to you just like mine does.

Have a great weekend!
