Anyone wishing to set up a classroom “bank account” for their student may do so at this time.\u00a0 Classroom bank accounts are set up to make it easier on the students and families.\u00a0 We get it…sometimes it’s hard to remember to send in that $5 for Target….or you remember but you don’t have cash on hand.\u00a0 By setting up a bank account it allows for those occurrences and the student doesn’t miss out on the activity.\u00a0 Additionally, it allows students to sub for absent students on CBI trips.\u00a0 \u00a0If a student has a bank account, he\/she can fill in for the absent student scheduled for Leo’s Coney Island.\u00a0 Typically students have between $20-$40 in their account at one time.\u00a0 Singles make it easiest so that students are not carrying large bills.\u00a0 It also helps them to practice our “dollar up” rule when paying bills.\u00a0 Bank accounts work best if they are used for incidentals rather than the main source of funding student activities. Please continue to send in money for special activities, field trips, etc.\u00a0 We will keep a log of deposits and withdrawls the student makes, and will send a copy home with the student when the bank account reaches a low or zero balance.<\/p>\n
