{"id":849,"date":"2018-10-03T10:25:55","date_gmt":"2018-10-03T14:25:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/campd\/?p=849"},"modified":"2018-10-03T10:25:55","modified_gmt":"2018-10-03T14:25:55","slug":"october-3-2018-bank-accounts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/campd\/2018\/10\/03\/october-3-2018-bank-accounts\/","title":{"rendered":"October 3, 2018 &#8211; Bank Accounts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Anyone wishing to set up a classroom &#8220;bank account&#8221; for their student may do so at this time.\u00a0 Classroom bank accounts are set up to make it easier on the students and families.\u00a0 We get it&#8230;sometimes it&#8217;s hard to remember to send in that $5 for Target&#8230;.or you remember but you don&#8217;t have cash on hand.\u00a0 By setting up a bank account it allows for those occurrences and the student doesn&#8217;t miss out on the activity.\u00a0 Additionally, it allows students to sub for absent students on CBI trips.\u00a0 \u00a0If a student has a bank account, he\/she can fill in for the absent student scheduled for Leo&#8217;s Coney Island.\u00a0 Typically students have between $20-$40 in their account at one time.\u00a0 Singles make it easiest so that students are not carrying large bills.\u00a0 It also helps them to practice our &#8220;dollar up&#8221; rule when paying bills.\u00a0 Bank accounts work best if they are used for incidentals rather than the main source of funding student activities.
